Credential Verification Policy

Version 2026-05-26 · Effective 2026-05-26

Draft document. This is provided as a starting template and is not legal advice. Have qualified counsel in your jurisdiction review before relying on it.

This policy explains the scope and limits of credential verification on EASIQ. Read it before relying on any credential displayed on the platform.

1. What We Collect

Appraisers, inspectors, and trade professionals submit their own credentials to EASIQ LLC, including license numbers, issuing jurisdictions, designations (e.g., ASA, ISA, AAA, IAAI, ASE), Errors & Omissions insurance policy details, and expiration dates. These submissions are made by the professional under the EASIQ Appraiser Agreement or the applicable Partner Network Terms.

2. What We Do

  • Require self-attestation of credential accuracy under contract;
  • Run automated good-faith plausibility checks (format, expiration date, issuing-body recognition);
  • Flag and gate issuance rights when a stated license or E&O policy passes its expiration date;
  • Suspend issuance rights immediately on credible report of misrepresentation;
  • Retain an immutable audit log of every credential submission and acceptance.

3. What We Do Not Do

  • We do not contact state licensing boards on a per-listing basis;
  • We do not subscribe to or query any official real-time licensing-board API;
  • We do not verify the contents of any uploaded license PDF beyond format checks;
  • We do not certify, endorse, insure, or guarantee any professional's qualifications, fitness, or work product;
  • We do not represent that any displayed credential is currently active with the issuing authority at the moment you view it.

4. Your Responsibility as a Recipient

Any party relying on a credential displayed on EASIQ — including dealers, buyers, sellers, insurers, lenders, and counsel — is solely responsible for independently verifying that credential with the issuing authority before relying on it for any decision. EASIQ LLC provides credential information as a convenience and disclaims any liability arising from a credential that is later determined to be inaccurate, expired, lapsed, suspended, revoked, or fraudulent.

5. Reporting Misrepresentation

If you believe a professional listed on EASIQ has misrepresented their credentials, contact legal@easiq.ai. We investigate every report and may suspend issuance rights pending review.

6. Updates to This Policy

EASIQ LLC may update this policy from time to time as our verification capabilities mature. The current version is published at /legal/credential-verification-policy.
